Ways to Solve Centrifuge Motor Failures

 

The centrifuge uses centrifugal force to separate the liquid and solid particles or liquid and liquid in the sample mixture according to the different principles of sedimentation coefficient, mass, density, etc. Of each component in the mixture.

The centrifuge seems simple to use and has no technical content, but it is still necessary to use and maintain it correctly.

  1.After the power is turned on, the motor does not rotate

First, check the power cord, plug and socket. If they are damaged, they should be replaced. If there is no problem, check whether the band switch or varistor is damaged or the connection is disconnected. If it is damaged or disconnected, replace the damaged components and re-solder the connection.

If there is no problem, check whether the magnetic field coil of the motor is disconnected or (internal) disconnected. If the connected coil is disconnected, it can be re-soldered; if the coil is disconnected internally, only the coil can be rewound. 

2.The motor speed does not reach the rated speed

First check the centrifuge bearing, If the bearing is damaged, replace the bearing.

If there is a lack of oil or too much dirt inside the bearing, the bearing should be cleaned and greased.

Check whether there is any abnormality on the surface of the commutator, or whether the match between the brush and the commutator is consistent: if the surface of the commutator is abnormal, if there is a layer of oxide, use fine sandpaper to polish it; if the commutator and the brush does not match, they should be adjusted to a good contact state.

If there is no above problem, check whether there is a short circuit in the rotor coil. And if so, rewind the coil.
